Register for class by contacting me directly. Payment can be made with Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, credit card (Square invoice) or Zelle. To hold your place in a class you must make a $50 non-refundable deposit.

No refunds will be given if you cancel registration 14 days or less before the workshop start date. The amount paid to secure your registration can be transferred to another workshop offered by Papillon Bodywork. It may not be used for CE workshops offered by visiting teachers. The amount may also be transferred to another individual with approval by Papillon Bodywork. Credit must be used within 1 year of cancellation or any remaining amount will be forfeited.

If you cancel your registration in a workshop 14 days or more before the workshop date, the registration amount, less a $50.00 administrative fee per workshop, will be refunded within 7 days of your cancellation.

Other Cancellations
Should the event or program attendance not meet the minimum capacity required to adequately and effectively facilitate and instruct the workshop, or the workshop is canceled due to existing or pending natural causes that may affect the safety of the participants or jeopardize appropriate facilitation, or a family or medical emergency should occur, 100% of the registration amount including deposit amount can be transferred to another workshop offered by Papillon Bodywork. The amount may also be transferred to another individual with approval by Papillon Bodywork. Credit must be used within 1 year of cancellation or any remaining amount will be forfeited.

No Call/No Show
Should you not call/not show up on the day of your scheduled CE workshop, no refund or transfer of the registration fee will be offered.

These classes are for students who are serious about learning Thai massage and medicine. Thai massage is a skilled, in depth craft that requires dedication, openness, lots of practice, patience and humility to be proficient in. If you are truly interested in learning Thai massage and medicine and possess these attributes, then these classes are for you.

If you are only interested in getting your required CE's rather than arrive with a genuine interest and curiosity regarding Thai massage, then these classes are not for you.

If you are taking this class from the misconception that you can become an instant expert, or "master" Thai massage without spending the substantive time, energy and effort, then these classes are not for you.

If you are unwilling to learn, and if you respond to guidance with defensiveness, argumentativeness and/or hostility, these classes are not for you.

Yes! You will receive your NCBTMB approved certificate at the end of the class.

According to NCBTMB rules: In order to receive the class CE you may not miss more than 15 minutes of any class. Partial CE is not allowed. Make ups for missed classes are also not allowed. When you sign up for my classes you agree to abide by these rules.

All of the classes are live, in person classes and will be held at Papillon Bodywork -  Lara’s beautiful, peaceful residential studio near the intersection of Tanque Verde and Bear Canyon Roads in NE Tucson. The address and all details will be provided to you one week before the start of the class.

All classes are limited to 6 students. This intimate class size allows me to give personalized, hands on instruction to each student in a mentor style setting.

Some, but not all, of these classes will require preexisting knowledge of Thai massage. If so, it will be listed in the class description.

Thai massage requires stamina. You must be able to get up and down from the floor many times a day as these classes are taught and practiced on a mat on the floor.


Most Thai bodywork is done clothed. There are, however, a couple of therapeutic treatments practiced with oils that require skin to be exposed (abdominal massage and some back work), but it is always done in a modest way that protects the client.

All the bodywork in my classes is done on a mat on the floor with special attention to bolstering and body mechanics.

All classes have a 90 minute lunch. If you bring your lunch you will have access to a small fridge, microwave (no toaster oven), and dishes. There are many restaurants and grocery stores within a 5-15 minute drive.

If you have any major health considerations, have had cancer or major surgeries in the last year, or if you are pregnant, please contact me before registration for a class so we can make sure your attendance will be safe for you and your classmates.

While these classes are fun and educational, Thai massage can also be intense and intimate as this modality quite often puts people into their bodies where emotions are held. All participants agree to respect the personal boundaries of their classmates and their teacher, and to conduct themselves in a professional manner throughout the duration of the activity. This includes honoring personal space, communicating respectfully, and refraining from any behavior that may cause discomfort, harm, or disruption. Papillon Bodywork, LLC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason. Students who violate these rules may be removed from class without receiving a refund or CE.

There is no smoking anywhere on the premises.

For those who are sensitive, there is attention in the classroom to limit synthetic smells. Our household is pet free.

This classroom is a cell phone free zone. Photos and videos may only be taken with the permission of all involved.
