Whether you are new to yoga asana or have plenty of experience, private lessons are a fantastic way to get personalized, one on one feedback for your yoga practice. Learn basic poses and their purpose, strengthen and stretch, explore old poses in a new way, ground and breathe. We’ll work together to find poses that are safe and effective for you and your body. Release tension, decrease pain, increase range of motion and well being. Sessions may include pranayama (yogic breath exercises) and meditation. There is increasing research into meditation’s ability to decrease pain and increase well being in everyday life, and is a huge part of a traditional yogic practice.

My experience with yoga dates to the 1980’s starting with Hatha yoga at a church (there were no yoga studios back then!), learning Vinyasa in the Colorado mountains, over 10 years in a hot Bikram studio, training in Yin and restorative yoga, and 3 years in the practice of Shadow Yoga. I attended teacher training in 2015 and started teaching both in the studio and privately right after school. My experience as a long time massage therapist allows me to incorporate in depth knowledge of anatomy and functional movement to our sessions, aiding in personalizing the poses for your body, needs and skill level. I have 17+ years of meditation practice to add to the soup, with a personal experience of the deep changes that come with an inward focused practice.
