I graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, OR in 2005 and established my own licensed massage therapy practice. During school I developed a passion for Deep Tissue and Thai massage which lead me to advanced studies in both of these healing arts. I have over 1,400 hours of study in massage therapy and bodywork, including over 800 hours of advanced Thai massage training. I have traveled to Thailand many times for advanced study and I am blessed to continue my education with the many incredible massage teachers in my area including the Thai Specialist Program at the Naga Center. I have also trained in Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage, Thai abdominal massage, Thai Herbal Compress Massage, Prenatal Thai Massage, and Craniosacral therapy.
My style of bodywork is Traditional Thai Massage infused with my intensive training in deep tissue massage and complimented by my yoga and meditation practice. All of my massage work is currently being done on a thick, comfortable mat on the floor with the client comfortably clothed. I specialize in therapeutic work for chronic pain and injury recovery while also providing nurturing and balancing work for emotional well being.
After fits and starts with yoga for many years I began a devoted practice in 2004. My yoga practice has included Hatha and Vinyasa, Bikram and hot yoga, copious amounts of renegade yoga in my living room, and in early 2014 I started practicing Shadow yoga before completing my 200 hour teacher training with Portland’s SOLA School. In 2006 I began an intense, on-going meditation practice that has become the foundation and core of my life and has taught me that yoga is more than just exercise, that you can bring that same aware presence into asana practice. For me, yoga is good for body, mind and spirit, grounding and permeating the whole of my being, allowing me to live a harmonious and loving life both on and off the mat. I love what I do!
