Traditional Thai Massage

Steeped in centuries of tradition, Traditional Thai massage (Nuad Thai or Nuad Boran) is an incredibly versatile and adaptable form of bodywork full of many techniques, deep and subtle, that allow each session to be personalized to any and every body. Thai massage is done on a comfortable mat on the floor with the receiver wearing comfortable and stretchy clothing. Thai massage therapies don’t need to use oils, but occasionally specific treatments call for healing balms, liniments, salves and steamed Thai herbal compresses. The Thai massage practitioner uses thumbs and fingers, hands, knees, elbows and feet to release muscle tension and create space in your body for freedom of movement and to free stuck energy. Using breath awareness along with compression, rocking,  stretching, and  joint mobilization, Thai massage is a mind/body healing experience, balancing energy and awakening harmony in all levels of your being.
